Fiery Fairy Tale

Once upon a time and … things

There was a girl with fiery wings,

And then those wings were clipped and gone,

Her light extinguished, never shone.

And then… I think the story goes,

Those wings grew back

(Sshh, no one knows)

For someone fairy-tale-like kissed

The tender part that others missed,

And in a metaphor and verse,

This Someone healed her heartbreak curse.

In flighted poetry above

She soars with fire,

Burns in Love.

  1. Fiery Fairy Tales. I really like the sound of that. Kinda like Fractured Fairy Tales which was a cartoon with a different twist back in the day. This was a great intro to something I think should be in your regular line-up. You and The Whippoorrwills could corner the market on passionate prose.

      1. Well she is a real, proper writer. I just let poetry out that has to escape for fear of insanity. I am sure she will blush beyond belief if she knew you said that!

  2. A gorgeous piece of writing. Those last two lines can start a forest fire.
Loved the rhyme. flow, and message Fiery one.

From the ashes she rises to create poetic beauty, Bravo.

Just a reminder – Fireman Bill says don’t play with matches boys and girls.

    1. Thank you Mr Lonely Author.
I didn’t mean to start any fires but sometimes they just happen when I am around. It’s inevitable

      I was being a bit silly but…you know..not really.

You give the best compliments EVER.

And Fireman Bill can suck it. I’ll play with matches whenever I want!

      Feeling rebellious today πŸ™Š
