Silent Discourse

By candlelight I speak with ghosts,

Implore above the heavenly hosts

I cut across a golden thread

And lay upon a lying bed

A path appears which mocks my sense

Illuminates this frozen fence

I tear apart the sands of time

And fortify my soul in mime

With silent pleas upon my knees

I gather thoughts with loving ease

I place them on your heart and mind

With deep desire your fire I find.

My body stays as I depart

And flee towards a kinder heart

A heart that beats and pounds with verse

For lacking art could be no worse

Than life without a piece of peace

Arouses nought with nil release

An answer do I oft receive

The moon articulates reprieve

She sends a flood of warmth upon

My spinal steps that I anon

Impart as answers for my breath

Which quickens with each little death

And blowing out my candle thus

I see my pathΒ

It leads to

  1. Gorgeous, my dear lady! Wowwee! Your rhyme game was fire today too! (Even though I’m not quoting a rhyme at you lol)

β€œFor lacking art could be no worse

I could’ve quoted so many others back at you but when I went to read again to decide which to share with you, this one stood out. πŸ”₯β™₯οΈβοΈπŸŽ„

    1. Thank you lovely lady. Sorry for my delayed and now rushed response. Not properly back yet.
That part you quoted is literally a window into my life. Tried to hide it a bit but you plucked it out .
      I appreciate you so much.

Can’t wait to catch up with you.
