Yes Fiery, We Get It. You Write Poetry

I took some words

I wrote a rhyme

And something, something, something Time.

And then I thought, blah blah blah Love

And mentioned Stars and Skies above.

And then I thought of Kisses, too

And words

And Something

(Insert: You)

And longing, need – they popped up

And then a serious line ’bout Fear.

And on that note, I wrote

And rhymed it aptly there with Fire.

And then I thought, it’s not quite done

My Sensual Moon, Your yearning Sun

And that part actually sounded good

It is a poem, so…it should.

And then you soon appeared again

And something somethingΒ

See you…when?!

And more sweet words denoting Lust

Then obviously, “Touch me. You must.”

And phew, looks like I’m at the end

So something like

True Love

Soul Friend.

And what an effing verse I wrote!

It’s nonsense (no…a small Love Note)

Of course I’ll end delightfully

I’m super good at poetry.

  1. Dang! You have a poetry process algorithm. That is the secret I’ve always been missing. When I try to write poetry, my words seem constipated. I end up straining my brain and blowing an O’ring. As you probably know, once you let the smoke out, you’re done for the day. I wondered how you produced such musical notes with oceanic flow. Now I know.

      1. What a fun English Lit teacher you would have been. I only got the ones that made me read a book and write about what it meant. I always got the meanings wrong because I used my imagination instead of buying the Cliff Notes. I still get it all wrong because I like what my imagination comes up with far better.

    1. I have been thinking about this comment a lot since i read it the other day. I didn’t have time to respond.

When I was younger I used to enter poetry reading competitions at school and loved it . I think that is what cultivated my love of drama and performing. I’ve thought about spoken word poetry a lot but honestly didn’t think I was enough of a radical person for anyone to enjoy my words lol.

      I’m seriously considering it.
      I say that but….

Thank you so so much. Love your visits

      1. Oh wow that’s ace that your school has poetry reading competitions. Was it poetry that you’d written yourself?

You definitely don’t need to be a radical person to do spoken word. I would be sat in awe drinking every word and then applauding loudly.

If you do decide to do it defo let me know what poems you choose x
