Careful…

Cradle this heart that I give with a kiss

Yet be gentle

Be careful

A beat it may miss.

And caught in half heartbeats,Β  Lord knows what we’ll see

In the space between pulses

You’ll glimpse the True me.

I know you’ll take care

And I know you’ll embrace

All the beats of my verses

That found their right place.

And careful, you are.

Though with flames I do speak

You still hold me close

There I’ve found

What I seek.

  1. Lovely. All the tenderness love brings (brought to mind cradling a heart like a newborn) and the glowy warmth your romantic pieces forever spark inside of me… you shine very brightly, my dearest!

    1. Hey imagine I wrote a really crappy poem one day…I wonder how that would go down.

I’m being silly and not appreciating your compliments. ..Thank you. Feeling all those lovely things you said lately. Can’t help it.

Is that what everyone expects of me? That’s such such a beautiful thing to say…
